The offer of the Stolowe Mts. NP Didactic - Museum Centre

    TThe aims of ecological education:
  • creating positive attitude towards nature among children and pupils and all the Park visitors,
  • nature preservation staff training,
  • education and throwing the Park open to the public,
  • getting local society acceptance for the National Park existence.
    The Centre has at its disposal an audiovisual room for 25 people with full multimedial equipment, a laboratory for 10 places (microscopes, binoculars) and a library. The Rock Sculpture didactic route leading from Karłów to Radków via the top of Szczeliniec Wielki and the Pośna Glen is used for didactic purposes. One of the teaching forms in the didactic centre are educational workshops for children and pupils of Kłodzko Valley area and those coming to the Table Mountains for so called "Green Schools" and also to the biology and geography teachers. The Centre also organizes exhibitions and photo and painting open-air sessions. It also arranges the publications - brochures and booklets connected with the Park nature and its preservation.


In the area of the park there are presently four didactic routes:
  • The Rock Sculpture route (Ścieżka Skalnej Rzeźby)
  • The Disappearing Meadow (Niknąca Łąka)
  • Amphibians (Płazy)
  • Active Protection of Ecosystems in the Stolowe Mts NP (Czynna ochrona ekosystemów w PNGS)


W laboratorium     TThe National Park plans to create two "Educational Cottages". Apart from the people connected with education the Park employs science workers who deal with the Table Mountains nature and its preservation research. They keep the records of research conducted by other science institutes and they also take part in it, they supervise the nature faculties students training taking place on the Park territory, they actively take part in science conferences and sessions connected with national parks' nature research. Since 1996 the Table Mountains National Park has published a yearly publication "Szczeliniec" containing studies connected not only with the nature of our region but also of the Czech Table Mountains and protected parts of the whole sand stone area of the north Czech Cretaceous platform. On this area there several Czech landscape parks and two national parks - the "Czech Switzerland" and German "Saxon Switzerland" situated on the gorge of the Elbe; the Table Mountains National Park has cooperated with those parks for several years.
