Amphibian protection

Czynna ochrona płazów

A valuable initiative of the education centre workers is elaboration and constant realization of the amphibian protection project on the Park territory. Every year during spring migration period children and pupils from Kudowa schools carry frogs and toads across a busy road near the Park border. In the near future, together with the Kłodzko council, a pass for amphibians under the road is going to be built. At the same time a project to renovate two small water reservoirs near Szczeliniec Wielki and Errant Rocks is being realized in order to create new places for breeding.

In 2002 the first in Poland Frog Museum at the Table Mountains National Park Headquarters was opened. The aim of this unusual museum is to display everyday objects connected directly or indirectly with the image of amphibians, especially frogs. At the same time the presented exhibits are aimed at teaching the idea of amphibian protection and actions undertaken or planned in this direction.
